PART 1: Why Start a Disney Blog in 2026
Being a Disney influencer or content creator is fantastic. But not enough influencers are also bloggers.
Social media content lives and dies roughly in 24-48 hours of posting. Blog content only gets more popular through its maturity in search engine algorithm’s.

And as a Disney influencer, it can be more difficult getting paid brand deals since this is such a popular niche. And if you aren’t willing to work for free or a gifted product, well.. someone else is.
As such, you need to diversify your personal brand and make 2026 the year you start a Disney blog. It’s easier than you think and will ultimately become a revenue stream for your content creation.
As someone who is also an influencer myself, I can tell you that the majority of my money earned is from my blog. And for me personally, I find blogging a lot easier to do because I can sit in my pjs, no makeup, and no need to look “picture perfect” while I create.
At the end of this blog, I will even give you some insight into how you can earn more money than posting on Instagram.
PART 2: How to Make a Disney Blog

1. Pick the right domain hosting service
WordPress.com and WooCommerce are two of the most popular website hosting service providers. My site was made and is currently run via WordPress.com.
WordPress.com is great to start a Disney blog because you can create your website for free with no expiration date.
As you start to expand, you can upgrade your plan. The image below shows the biggest draw for upgrading to each plan. This is by no means to say that these benefits are the only things you get by upgrading!

Since my site holds a lot of value in Google’s algorithm and helps me make money because of it, I upgraded to the Business plan on my blog’s third birthday. This plan allows me to get huge benefits with the Jetpack plugin.
2. Make SEO a priority for your Disney blog
When it comes to making a blog, SEO (search engine optimization) is the primary driver of success. It specifically relates to how well you optimize your content to be found in search engines like Google, Bing, YouTube, and Pinterest.
And crafting a Disney blog is no different.
JetPack
The Jetpack plugin is an absolute must. It did come included with my upgrade to the Business plan with WordPress.com. I chose to upgrade for these benefits:
- VaultPress Backup: Real-time cloud backups with one-click restores.
- Boost: Speed up your site and improve SEO – no developer required.
- Social: Write once, post everywhere.
- Stats: The most advanced stats Jetpack has to offer.
- Akismet Anti-spam: Automatically clear spam from your comments and forms.
You can buy these add-ons (and more!) separately outside of the Business plan. Prices vary for each add-on.
Yoast SEO
Yoast SEO is another big one. It won’t do the SEO for you. But it does offer a checklist of sorts to ensure that you are meeting all necessary components to an effective SEO strategy.
This “checklist” includes making sure each blog content has:
- a meta description with the specified keyphrase
- the keyphrase in image alt attributes (very necessary for photo SEO!)
- outbound and internal links
- keyphrase distribution, length, and density
- and many more!

SEO is truly very extensive. And remembering everything you need to do it properly is no easy feat. So Yoast SEO is essential.
There is a free version of this plugin, but it can be confusing to understand. I pay $119 a year for Yoast SEO Premium to get access to advanced settings that make all the difference in the world for making top notch content.
3. Photos are essential
Photos are essential and need to be properly optimized. If your photos are too big or too small, this could really take a hit to your SEO.
One of the additional benefits of Jetpack Boost is that it helps guide you to resize and ultimately save space on your blog.

If your photos are too large, it could decrease your load speed. If your load speed is slow, you are more likely to lose readers.
Optimal load speed is anything under 2 seconds. Near 3 seconds is when you will start losing viewers on desktop devices. And near 5 seconds is when you will start losing mobile viewers’ interest.
4. The use of AI in your Disney blog
Since 2022, many people have flocked to using AI services like ChatGPT. But if you rely solely on AI-generated content for your blog, you run the risk of low-quality, spammy, or even incorrect content.
And although Google doesn’t penalize AI-generated content, it does penalize low-quality, unhelpful content. Google will view your site as spam and rank you accordingly.
If you want to know how to make a profitable Disney blog, the human element of researching and making genuine content needs to remain. After all, you are the Disney expert here. You know the intricacies of park-hopping strategies, best budget food options, and more.
5. Cross-posting to social media
WordPress.com and Jetpack helps with this with Jetpack Social. You’re busy enough as it is, let this plugin help lighten the load by cross-posting for you.
To start, the majority of your views will likely come from your social network. Eventually you’ll see start to see more views from search engines in Jetpack Stats.
PART 3: What Content to Write for Your Disney Blog

1. “Your” experience vs “The” experience
Gone are the days of the blogs where people write about what they ate and wore for a weekend. Instead people crave answers to questions. Simply put, they want information that benefits them.
For example, if you plan a 7-day trip to Walt Disney World, it would be more beneficial to write an article entitled “The Perfect Itinerary for a 7-Day Trip to Walt Disney World” as opposed to “What I did at Walt Disney World”.
But just remember, your Disney experience doesn’t need to be in-park specific. There are plenty of out-of-park Disney experiences to write about, review, or answer questions for.

For example, Rooftop Cinema Club invited me for their showing of Raya and the Last Dragon. My friend and I Disney Bounded as Raya and Sisu. It made for a perfect opportunity to write a review for!
2. Example posts for Disney bloggers
Here are some example articles to give you some inspiration for your own Disney blog! Just remember, there is a lot of insight you can give as a Disney expert. And you don’t need to be in the park or an annual passholder to be a successful Disney blogger.

PART 4: How to Make Money with a Disney Blog
1. WordPress.com revenue streams
WordPress.com offers various tools for monetization directly in your admin dashboard.
- Collect Payments: Accept payments for just about anything—from goods and services to memberships and donations.
- WordAds: Earn ad revenue by connecting your site with the biggest ad publishers, including Google AdSense, and more.
- Paid Content Block: Create additional, premium content exclusive to your paying subscribers.
- Paid Newsletters: Email premium content to paying subscribers.

2. Affiliate links
Affiliate marketing gets a bad reputation. Because to make money with affiliate marketing, it is directly related to posting the link for people to purchase from. And if you only do affiliate marketing via social media, then I understand the hate behind it. Because social media posts live and die on a 24-48 hour life cycle.
But not blogging.
I am still making consistent money from blogs that I wrote 4 years ago because people are still finding that content in search engines.
In the last three years, specifically for affiliate links I have made:
- Around $21,000 in 2023
- Around $40,000 in 2024
- Around $52,000 in 2025

And the majority of that affiliate money was from blog content. I promise you affiliate links are worth your time – but only as a blogger.
You can work with a partner, like Get Away Today or Theme Park Frog, that can help people plan Disney vacations.
Or you can post products with affiliate links that are Disney related. For example, I have written numerous Disney Bound blogs, and I link all the products that I feature in those blogs. Or give a list of essential products to take for a Disney vacation. You can really get creative here!
3. Google AdSense
Google AdSense can be connected via WordPress.com. But you can also set this up separately if necessary. Plus you can have a little more control about where your ads do and don’t go having a separate platform.
4. Sponsored Disney-inspired blog content
Not all blog content has to be officially Disney-branded. You can put a Disney spin on lots of content! Like this blog I did for the Water Lantern Festival. Talk about Tangled vibes!

Or this campaign I did for a sock company. The socks had absolutely nothing to do with Disney. But I made a Mickey Mouse shape out of three donuts to give it that extra magic.

Or this Alice in Wonderland themed pop-up bar. It still offered a great opportunity to get Disney-themed blog and social media content.

Campaigns of this nature will vary in price. I have worked for free experiences, a flat rate for published blog content (usually between $200-400 for my blog’s domain authority ranking), and commission through affiliate links.
5. Guest posts and link insertions
With increased traffic to your Disney blog, people will become interested in link insertions. This will either take the form of a guest post, or asking to insert a link into an existing blog.
A guest post will be a complete blog to publish on your site. That blog will include the link they want inserted on a particular anchor text for their client.

For example, a client may want to insert a link for their “Mouse Ears and Cold Beers” shirt on your site. The anchor text would be Mouse Ears and Cold Beers shirt. And the link would go to that listing on Etsy. Now in Google’s algorithm, that link will gain a higher ranking for that search phrase.
Link insertion and guest post prices can range based on your blog’s ranking. For me personally, my link rates range from $15-65.
Final Thoughts
Make 2026 the year you start a Disney blog. Because the money is absolutely there. And be sure to use WordPress.com to help make it happen with ease!
