PART 1: Tombstone Molds

What you need for the tombstones

  • Tombstone chocolate molds (mold used linked here)
  • Edible spray glitter (spray used linked here)
  • Melting chocolate

How to make the tombstones

  • First melt your melting chocolate per the instructions
  • Put the tombstone mold on a plate or cookie sheet

  • Pour the melted chocolate into the tombstone mold
  • Transfer to fridge for chocolate to set in mold
    • Fully set after 30 minutes in the fridge
  • Once set, pop them out of the mold and spray with the edible glitter

Ingredients needed for the topping

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 5 tbsp cold butter, chunks
  • 1 egg

This makes 6-7 cookies but you should only need three for the dirt topping. Which means you get three cookies to snack on while you finish this Halloween pizza cookie recipe!

How to make the dirt

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Combine flour and sugar
  • Add butter and egg and mix by hand
    • Add a tsp of flour if too sticky
  • Mix until large mass

  • Scoop dough with spoon and flatten onto lined baking sheet
    • Don’t worry about them being perfect – we’re just going to crush them later
  • Bake 9-10 minutes, let cool on wire rack
  • Once the cookies have cooled, crush three cookies by hand
    • Use the backside of a fork or spoon to crush it up more finely

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 tsp baking soda

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Kneed sugar and softened butter for 2-3 minutes
  • Add vanilla extract and egg
  • Slowly add flour, baking soda, and salt until fully combined
  • Fold in chocolate chips and marshmallows

  • After letting the pizza cookie cool, sprinkle the three crushed up oreo cookies onto the top
  • Place the six chocolate tombstones on top of the dirt
    • Standing upright looks better for pictures, but laying down is more practical
  • Optional to add a nice scoop of ice cream to the center for that real pazookie experience!
