I tested Rest’s cooling sleep accessories. This includes their new cooling pillow, pajamas, and eye mask. After previously testing their cooling comforter, cooling sheets, and cooling pillowcases, I was optimistic that these products would do well too. And now after this testing period, I have mixed feelings. So here is my honest review of Rest’s cooling sleep products for hot sleepers.

Rest Cooling Product Review for Hot Sleepers

Cooling Pillow

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

The cooling pillow comes with two pillowcases specifically designed to fit this pillow. These pillowcases are the same material used with their other cooling pillow cases. I definitely prefer that these pillowcases hug the pillow in this way. I don’t like how traditional pillowcases end up having so much excess material, or the pillow itself slips out.

This pillow comes in three size options. For this cooling sleep product review, I got the “Medium”. Generally I am a side sleeper, and lately I have been having issues with ear pain when I sleep on my side. I am happy to report that after a few weeks of using this pillow I haven’t had a single ear ache.

In hindsight, I wish I got the “High” since I feel like I could’ve gotten away with a little more lift so my shoulders wouldn’t slouch while side sleeping.

The pillowcase is cool to the touch. But I don’t really feel a difference from using this pillow compared to just using their cooling pillowcases around one of my regular pillows.

Overall though, I think it’s a great product. I am very satisficed with how comfortable it is. I just don’t think it has as potent of cooling powers as their sheets or comforter.

Cooling Pajamas

Rating: 3 out of 5.

The pajamas are cool to the touch, soft, and very lightweight. The shorts are high-waisted with side slit flaps that go up to the top of the elastic. The top has a split, open back. Of the cooling products in this review, this one is getting the harshest rating.

The reason it gets three stars is that if you bend down to pick something up, the open back of the shirt fans out to each side. And when you lay down in the shorts, the flaps leave your booty hanging out. I’m not a fan.

At the end of the day, they are comfortable. But I wouldn’t wear these to bed. I also wouldn’t get your hopes up that this product would keep you cool all night in the same way that I know the Evercool or Sheets would. I think it would be a better use of Rest’s cooling products to get the Evercool than it would be to get the pajamas.

Cooling Eyemask

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Wrapping up this cooling sleep products review is the cooling eye mask with a velcro adjustable strap. The outer material is made with the same material as the cooling pillowcases and sheets. It’s plush and comfortable to wear.

The velcro did not get in the way of my hair. Additionally I found it to be a much more preferable eye mask secure as opposed to an elastic band. I always found elastic pullover eye masks to hurt my head.

It was also able to block out light pretty well! And since the sides cover your ears, I enjoyed that it blocked out some neighborhood noise as well.

Again like the pillow and pajamas, I just don’t think this should be labeled as “cooling”. It is cool to the touch but after a short amount of wear, it does heat up to your body temperature.

Final thoughts on Rest’s cooling sleep products review

Overall, I think each one of these items is a fantastic product – on its own. Rest made a comfortable pillow. They made comfortable pajamas. And they made a comfortable eye mask.

My only hang up with each of these is that I think labeling it a “cooling” product doesn’t hold a candle to their cooling sheets or comforter. Both of which are 5 star products.

Truthfully I think I expected more OOMPH out of each of these accessory cooling sleep products for this review. But I enjoy the items at the base of what they are.

I would recommend the pillow and the eye mask. I am hesitant to recommend the pajamas just because I think their design kind of makes wearing them pointless.

Rest Discount Code

Rest’s line of cooling sleep products is the upgrade your bedroom needs for summer and hot sleepers. The Evercool Cooling Comforter truly is the best cooling comforter I have ever tried. Paired with their fitted sheet, you really will regulate your temperature overnight. If you’re looking for additional bedroom upgrades, their pillow and eye mask are also great accessory sleeping products.
