About Silvery

Silvery’s cooling products are “silver-infused and NASA-inspired”. They also claim that their products are “self-cleaning”. All of these statements are rather interesting. Mostly because to me at least, they seem like fluff adjectives. The statements from an outside perspective don’t really give you any indication on the cooling effect.

Also I don’t understand how any fabric-based product can claim to be self-cleaning. So does that mean I just don’t have to wash my comforter or sheets? That’s weird, right?

So I took it upon myself to review the products for myself. Because at the end of the day all we really want to know is – do Silvery’s cooling comforter and other cooling bed products actually work? Is the cooling effect noticeable?

Silvery currently has a very lean product line. So hopefully that is a good indication for the effort they are putting into perfecting the best cooling products for the bedroom.

Silvery Cooling Product Review

Silvery Cooling Comforter

Having a number of different cooling comforters over the years, I am happy to report that this cooling comforter does stack up.

It is a lightweight blanket that still offers a great cooling effect. It’s easy to wash, but a tad hard to de-wrinkle.

Comparing this to the Evercool from Rest, I believe the Evercool offers more cooling effect. My husband is a hot sleeper so he personally prefers the Evercool from Rest because it offers more cooling power. But I prefer the Silvery cooling comforter because it offers just the right amount of cooling power for me.

Something to note though is that the Evercool is more expensive than Silvery’s comforter. So I can put my stamp of approval on both for being priced perfectly for the product you get.

Silvery Restcool Bed Sheet Set

Next on the Silvery product review! The Restcool bed sheet set comes with:

• 1 x fitted sheet
• 1 x top sheet
• 2 x pillowcases

Similar to Rest’s cooling sheets, I had two problems with the top sheet.

First, if you were to use these products in conjunction with the cooling comforter, the top sheet becomes redundant.

Secondly, using the fitted sheet and top sheet together is a nightmare because the top sheet is frictionless. Meaning that in the middle of the night, it either bunches at the bottom of the bed or it slides right off the bed completely.

Therefore, I am a strong believer that the top sheet is pointless. So buying this bed set is hard to recommend fully because one of the products in the set is not one I would recommend.

However if you were to buy this set, have a different use for the top sheet. Personally, I use my Silvery cooling top sheet (as well as my Rest cooling top sheet) as a couch blanket, an outdoor blanket, or a blanket for my dog to lie on in the summer.

But I will end this part of the Silvery cooling product review by saying that I do love the fitted sheet and pillowcases. They work well.

SOMETHING TO NOTE: After reading my blog, a representative from Silvery has let me know that the problems I had with the top sheet are something they are working to resolve. They have received similar issues from other users, and their R&D team is currently working towards making a better version of the top sheet that won’t be as “slippery”!

Silvery Restcool Pillowcase Set Product Review

I am very pleased with the quality of the Restcool Pillowcase Set. Because I received the Bed Sheet Set and the Pillowcase Set, I ended up with 4 of these pillow cases.

Considering that you only rest your head on one pillow at a time, getting both the Bed Sheet Set and the Pillowcase Set may not be entirely necessary.

Overall, I do enjoy using cooling pillowcases year round (not just in the summer).

To end this Silvery product review, I am impressed by Silvery’s line of cooling products. Since I am not a very hot sleeper, Silvery is perfect for my needs. It offers a great cooling effect without it making me chilly overnight.
