From skiing and snowboarding on world-class slopes to indulging in a relaxing spa day, there’s something for everyone in Park City during the winter months. Some of which you may haven’t considered yet.
1. Ski or snowboard at one of Park City’s world-renowned resorts

One of the most popular things to do in Park City during the winter is skiing or snowboarding on the area’s many slopes. Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort are two of the most well-known ski resorts in the area. They offer a wide range of runs for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. 2. Take a guided snowmobile tour through the mountains and forests

Snowmobiling in Park City is an ideal activity for both thrill-seekers and nature lovers. And the best part about it is you really have your pick with companies that provide these services. Which means even picking from three different companies, you are sure to experience something new and different at each one.
Some of the most popular companies to provide snowmobiling guided tours in Park City are:
3. Visit the Ice Castles

About 25 minutes outside of Park City is one of the most beautiful activities to do. The Ice Castles! Each location is expertly crafted by hand and has a lot to offer.
Located at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, 2002 Olympic Drive, Midway, Utah 84049. Ride share services, like Uber and Lyft, are not reliable in Midway.
You can go down the ice slides, wander through caverns and archways, crawl through tunnels. And of course, take those awe-inspiring, Instagram-worthy photos. I recommend picking a time slot for dusk or nighttime so you can really experience the beauty of this place!
Be aware though that your day could be canceled due to weather. This happened to me last year when we booked. Unfortunately it was forecasted to be a little too warm and Ice Castles contacted us to say that our day (and the next three days) were canceled.
4. Attend the Sundance Film Festival
The Sundance Film Festival is an annual independent film festival. It typically takes place in late January or early February, featuring a variety of film screenings, panels, and events. It provides a platform for new filmmakers to showcase their works and for film lovers to experience diverse and innovative films.

The most popular place to go tubing is Woodward Park City. Located at 3863 Kilby Rd, Park City, UT 84098.
Not only can you go tubing here, but there is also an indoor trampoline park. If you think you will be taking advantage of their full range of activities, you can get an all-access ticket. An all-access ticket starts at $129 per person, for ages 6 and up.
But if you’d prefer to just stick to tubing, a tubing ticket starts at $55 per per, for ages 3 and up. You will have access to all 7 lanes of tubing for two hours.
6. Wander through Main Street

Main Street is a historic street that is considered the heart of the city. It is lined with shops, restaurants, art galleries, and other local businesses. The Victorian-style buildings and Victorian-era lights that give the street a warm and welcoming atmosphere. During the winter months, the street transforms into a winter wonderland, with snow-covered benches and festive decorations.
Many of these stores feature handmade and locally-made products. My personal favorites are Dolly’s Books, Atticus Coffee and Teahouse, and Dugins West.
Dolly’s Books is a bookstore with a fudge shop attached to it. But my favorite thing about this store is the cats they have scampering through the book shelves. It’s tradition that I get a new book every year that I visit! Atticus Coffee and Teahouse is, you guessed it, a coffee shop, but it’s also a bookstore too! It’s a must to have a hot beverage as you walk down Main Street. Lastly Dugins West is great for picking up souvenirs.

With beautiful snow-covered mountains and valleys, it’s the perfect destination for hot air balloon rides in the winter. One popular company that offers hot air balloon rides is the Utah Balloon Flights.
The rides typically last for around one hour and offer panoramic views of the stunning winter landscape. The balloons stay pretty toasty too! To be fair, you are adjacent to the burner that propels this giant balloon. And don’t worry -all of their pilots are fully licensed and experienced.
