If your ads are anything like mine, then you’ve probably seen an ad or two from Pair Eyewear. And if you haven’t heard of them, then you absolutely need to! This review of the interchangeable glasses from Pair Eyewear will definitely change your perception of wearing glasses daily.

Out with the old…

I like change when it comes to fashion and accessories. And glasses are one accessory that you use so regularly, that they can get boring. It’s one of the reasons that I refuse to get a tattoo. Because once it’s there, it’s there forever. I am not a fan of that level of permanence.

Usually when I purchase glasses, I get the style that I can wear with almost anything. That’s not exactly fun because not every pair of glasses will work with every outfit. And buying multiple prescription glasses for the sake of changing them out for one outfit is expensive. That’s why I was drawn to the glasses from Pair Eyewear.

Enter Pair Eyewear. Their ads seem to be everywhere. And yet they are still a company that people don’t seem to know about.

What drew me to their brand was their magnetic top frames. They are placed on top of your base prescription glasses. The top frames are hollow and don’t have an additional lens on them.

Top frames for glasses from Pair Eyewear range in style and price. The lowest price of a top frame is $25. But for frames that are a part of a collaboration (like with Disney, Marvel, etc), those are $30-$35. That’s still a heck of a lot cheaper than buying all new glasses.

I also wanted to get blue light filtering glasses since I spend so much time staring at screens. Pair was the first brand that I found that did this easily for prescription lens!

How much does Pair Eyewear cost?

The first time I purchased from Pair in May 2022, my total was $150. I bought the crystal clear Casper prescription frames for $60. I added on blue-light filtering for an additional $49. I also purchased a Spider-Man top frame for $30 and a Silver Sparkle frame for $25. I even used a referral link from Pair Eyewear that gave me $25 off of my first order with them! This coupon is only good as long as your order is over $85 before the coupon is applied.

My second order of glasses from Pair Eyewear came in October 2024. My total was $183, and here’s what I got. Because I loved the Casper frames so much, I repurchased those. So for the Casper frames in Crystal Clear, with single vision prescription and blue light filtering, that was $109. In fact it was the same exact price as it was in 2022! Next I treated myself to three new top frames. Two for $25, and one for $30. With free shipping, a $20 promotional coupon, and $14 in taxes, it was $183.

How do I order glasses from an online store like Pair Eyewear?

Buying glasses seems to be an in-person kind of purchase, right? Well Pair Eyewear makes it very easy to buy glasses from. All you will need is your prescription from your eye doctor.

To start, you will pick your base frame and the color you want them in. If you are unsure how they will look on your face, they do have an option for a virtual try-on. Next, it will ask if you need Single-Vision, Progressive Lens, Readers, or Non-Prescription glasses. Then it will ask you for your lens type and if you would like to add on Blue-Light Filtering.

Next, although not required with your purchase, you can choose any top frame you would like to get. Personally I would recommend to at least get a Sunglasses top frame. That way you don’t have to carry around multiple pairs of glasses!

Once you have built your perfect pair of glasses, now it’s time to get the specifics. You can upload a picture of your prescription or have them contact your doctor for the information.

It will then offer you the chance to order accessories for your glasses from Pair Eyewear. But personally I don’t think they are needed. Your purchase comes with a glasses case and a micro-fiber cloth.

Once you place your order, you will get a separate email that will ask you to submit your pupil distance. Again, this is super easy to submit directly from your phone.

Final thoughts

Overall, I adore these glasses and the interchangeable frames. I have bought a number of different top frames to keep the variety – including sunglass top frames. I really enjoy being able to easily go from outside to inside without having to change out my glasses. With my glasses from Pair Eyewear, I can just take my sunglasses top frame on and off and I’m good!

I highly recommend switching to Pair the next time you are considering getting new glasses.
